Don't be misled by these pics -- she is not old and does not have cataracts! You can see why we gave her this name, though!! She was taken from a small, rural shelter west of here, after being given up by an ailing owner. After a short period of apprehension, she warmed up and now follows faithfully.
Bat Girl is a well-behaved dog that is very comfortable being inside. She does not mind being around other dogs, even ones larger than her, and doesn’t mind cats, either. She is a cuddler, but will take to her own bed if you rather she not sleep with you. Since she will yelp a bit if picked up suddenly, she might be best with older children that do not consider as a playmate.
Bat Girl is housebroken, rarely barks, nicely takes treats, knows how to sit and walks very well on a leash. Like most small dogs, she may not require a fenced yard, but having that will keep her safe.
Bat Girl is completely vetted – spayed, vaccinated, heartworm negative, with no intestinal parasites and a micro chip. She’ll make a an easy-care, quiet companion for some lucky person or family.
Her adoption fee is $200.00. Please contact Lorraine at 850/893-7634 (9AM-9PM only) for more information or an application.
