Gracie is a very thin ten pound, tan and white Chihuahua. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and on heartworm preventative. Her age is estimated at two to three years. She and her daughters (see listings for Susie and Lucy) were found as strays and spent a month at the Bainbridge shelter awaiting a foster home. Once in foster care, Gracie was initially she was too scared to touch, but within about twenty four hours she transformed into an affectionate pet: eager to be held and snuggle - plus come when called!! We call her our "magnet" dog as she likes to be with you ALL the time - just try sleeping without her!! Gracie is not a nervous or yappy lap dog, not the least intimidated by other animals of any size. This is a very smart girl who taught herself how to use two pet doors in less than a day, and is nearly housebroken! She is ready for a home that will devote a lot of attention to her, as well as fatten her up some, and while she still plays with her daughters, she does not need a companion animal. Because she is not leash-trained, a fenced yard is suggested. No homes with small children, please, but she does do well with gentle children five and older. Her adoption fee is $150.00; call Lorraine at 850/893-7634 (9AM-9PM only please) for more information.
