These seniors (male AND female) were in Jacksonville and destined to go to the shelter when TBDR found out about them. It was quickly agreed to bring them to one of our Tallahassee foster homes. After a flight here and a trip to the beauty parlor (thank you Lakeside Grooming!), they are being really pampered and receiving the health care they had not had for years and years.
These little munchkins are beyond adorable … they are super sweet, loving and total cuddle-bugs! They are very attached to each other and do everything together. Bailey is a complete Hug Hog and has to nose his way in for extra pets. Ginger has the face of a little lamb and loves sitting on your lap – if Bailey doesn’t get to it first!
We are working on housebreaking, and Bailey should probably wear a belly band. While they do “go” outside, they have occasional accidents, but are crate-trained. If you forget them or they get closed off from you, Ginger will be sure to let you know! Because of their age and size, we recommend an all adult (means NO children!) or retiree family. Because of their diminished hearing, a place with a fenced yard will be necessary.
Both are “fixed” and have had comprehensive dentals … in addition to being heartworm tested (both negative), wormed, vaccinated and micro chipped. These two are going to make someone very happy!
The adoption fee for the PAIR (no, we are not going to separate them) is $200.00. Just the dentals for them exceed $600.00 each, so please consider making a donation to TBDR, if you cannot adopt them. This is critical, so that we do not have to turn away animals in need, due to the expense of getting them better.
