Susie and Lucy are eight pound, tan and white Chihuahua mixes that are spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and on heartworm preventative. Their age is estimated at six months, and they will likely be about ten to twelve pounds when grown. They and their mother (see listing for Gracie) were found as strays and spent a scary month at the Bainbridge shelter awaiting a foster home. Both were initially too scared to approach you, but in about twenty four hours they discovered how awesome being affectionate and playful can be, as they figured out it is much more fun to come when called! Both insist on being cuddled a lot and will squirm their way right into your lap. Neither are nervous or yappy, nor intimidated by other animals of any size. These are very smart girls that taught themselves how to use two pet doors in less than a day, and are nearly housebroken! Because they are not leash-trained, a fenced yard is suggested. They have been introduced to gentle children over five, but a home without children younger than that is recommended. The adoption fee is $150.00 for each (but ask about a discount to adopt them both as they love to play and sleep together!). Call Lorraine at 850/893-7634 (9AM-9PM only please) for more information.
